Linoleum faced Birch Ply
Linoleum is one of the original sustainable materials. Derived from linseed oil, it is hard wearing and commonly was used for flooring in kitchens and bathrooms. Today it has been displaced by PVC products for flooring use but in recent years furniture linoleum has appeared.

Linoleum faced material is a good choice for doors/drawer fronts and desktops.
The linoleum is around 3mm thick and needs to be bonded to a substrate. That substrate could be anything you want although most customers choose 18mm thick Birch Ply so you have the linoleum on the face and the laminations of the Birch Ply are visible on the edges. To ensure the finished panel is balanced and will not warp we bond the linoleum to both sides of the substrate.
