What is the difference between a wardrobe and a cabinet?
On our website we talk about wardrobes and cabinets. What is the difference? For that matter what is the difference between and a carpenter and a cabinetmaker? Lets set it out.
Everything we do here is cabinetry. A cabinet comprises two sides, a top and a bottom panel. And usually a back. Traditionally the person who would design and build a cabinet would be called a cabinetmaker.
When a cabinet is large enough to store, for example a long dress, it would be called a wardrobe. Writing out the descriptions like this seems facetious and simplistic but bear with us as inappropriately mixing the wardrobe/cabinetry terms as unfortunately a lot of companies do becomes torturous.
